Timers and polls for everyone in the call
The new Events button starts a timer or a poll that everyone in the call shares, shown at the top of the call. The raised hand moved into the Reactions menu, and people who join later now see it.
What's included
A timer the whole call shares
Events, on the bar next to the face button, offers Timer and Poll. Set a length up to 59:59 and press Start. Anyone in the call can pause and resume it, add a minute or stop it, and it keeps running when the person who started it leaves. At zero a short chime plays and Time is up opens. On every plan, and in the Mac app from 1.0.41.
Anonymous polls
Ask a question with up to eight answers. Everyone votes once, guests too, and sees the results after voting: how many chose each answer, never who chose what. Anyone who has voted can close the poll with End poll, and the result shows for everyone. It also closes by itself once everyone in the call has voted. Results stay in the call: they are not saved to the notes or the chat. On every plan, and in the Mac app from 1.0.41.
At the top of the call
A black shape at the top shows the timer or the poll. Point at it or click it to open it. When more than one thing is going on, the others show beside it as circles; click one to bring it to the front. In the floating window it opens only when you click it; update the Windows app to 0.0.16 so a long poll fits there in full.
Vibing while you wait
Alone in a call with the music playing, the shape says Vibing. Mute pauses the music until someone joins, and Unmute plays on from the same place. To keep the music off, switch off Settings › Devices › Music when you are alone.
Raise your hand in Reactions
The hand moved from the bar into the Reactions menu, next to the Reactions and Phrases tabs, and the menu stays open when you press it. People who join after your hand went up now see it too. On every plan, and in the Mac app from 1.0.41.
